THESE KIDS OF MINE

There are times when they both boggle my mind...#Thejoysofparenting!
They were their current ages of 13 & 14 when this conversation took place on a ride to my hometown of Springfield, Ohio.

The Boy: What's a liquidation sale? Do they sell liquid?
The Girl: (in her disgusted, 'know-it-all' big sister voice) No, Mark. They sell fabric. (loud & wrong...which is normal)
Me: They sell everything. Everything must go.
The Boy: Why are they having a sale at a hospital?
Me: They closed it down.
The Girl: They don't need to be closin down hospitals! Especially not the way crime is around here!
The Boy: Well, the gangster doctors take care of the gangsters!
The Girl: Yep. They do.
